Did a quick count off the top of my head, and that’s what I came up with. 71 pairs of shoes, 53 wigs. Stupid shoes. Stupid wigs.
Having issues with fitting everything right now. Or, rather, finding places for everything.
Really it’s not so much MY costumes. All of mine would fit just fine in that closet with no issues. It’s Chase’s costumes that take up multiple large bins, Kevin’s multiple costumes, and just random stuff that’s hanging around that doesn’t really GO with anything. Shoes I’ve bought “just in case” and never used. Stuff like that. I’m trying, but right now I’m frustrated.
that’s why i keep tweeting about too many costumes.
today’s princess… Padme.
So, the infusion. Not so great. Not to sound like a crazy, but I have a prescription for xanax that’s solely for my use when I go to the doctor, because otherwise I have panic attacks and my bp goes off the chart. Well I decided to be a big girl and go without it yesterday, I decided I wasn’t going to be scared and it was going to go easy.
Of course it didn’t. I can’t control my freaking out about it, so I got there and my bp was high again (151/98 at the dr office. last night, 128/88.) But I was still hanging in there til I got in the infusion room. I picked out a chair and waited. The nurse came over and decided to put the IV in my forearm. (I don’t know all the lingo, so sorry if I don’t explain things right.)
Well, she stuck the needle in, and didn’t get the vein. NEVER had that happen. So instead of pulling it out and trying again, she starts digging. HOLY SHIT. I nearly died. I’m scared of needles anyway and this woman is swirling one around in my arm. Well, guess what, she blew the vein. My arm turned black and blue instantly and she slapped a pad of gauze on it and wrapped some tape around it. So for the rest of the morning my forearm ached and hurt more than the iv site.
She ended up putting it in the crook of my arm, which is where I had it last year (where it discoloured my skin for months!). I don’t know if she just didn’t have everything ready, but she pulled the thing out of the needle and didn’t have the IV tubey thing ready… because she turned around to get it while blood – MY BLOOD which I worked REALLY HARD TO HAVE – went dribbling all down my arm and all over the towel she’d laid out. WHAT. I don’t get grossed out by blood but seeing my blood burbling out of my arm like that seriously freaked me out. She got the IV in, and of course I had to have benadryl first just in case I had a reaction.
So by the time the iron actually started I was super drowsy… but I was so uncomfortable in that chair, my arm hurt, not only where she blew my vein, but I couldn’t get my arm muscles to relax so it was tense and painful and COLD, like cold from the inside, that I just couldn’t get to where I could fall asleep. I listened to Sherlock Holmes on my iphone, which helped because RDJ helps any situation, and talked to Chase on AIM.
So yeah. I have iron. But getting it sucked.
